First Call is the first step to entering DAP’s therapy program. First Call staff can help you learn about DAP’s different programs and register over the phone.


DAP offers support and intervention through a client-centered, trauma-informed framework. Each program participant is encouraged on their journey toward safety and healing by a team of interdisciplinary staff working together to support the participant in achieving their own goals for safety, stabilization, and non-violence.

We support change in individuals, families, and our communities through the Coordinated Community Response Model. DAP is committed to ending violence through an anti-oppressive and anti-racist framework for service provision and to integrating all parts of the person, including mind, heart, body, culture, and spirit, in their care.

DAP believes that to create real change in our communities we must work to support each member of the family across the need spectrum. We offer care across the lifespan to children from birth through older adults. We have three primary services offered to clients:

  • Individual, Family, and Group Therapy Services: Therapists provide long-term healing support for all members of the family through services aimed at processing their experiences of trauma and creating plans for safety.
  • Advocacy Services: Advocates provides support and information to survivors of domestic violence in navigating the criminal and civil court systems and making critical community referrals to meet basic needs.
  • Case Management Services: Case Managers offer support services to all members of the family, aiding program participants with basic needs, including referrals to support for food, shelter, transportation, employment services, legal aid, mental and medical health, chemical dependency, among others.

All services are either free of cost or on a sliding fee scale. We do not turn anyone away for inability to pay.
