Ryan Lewsader, MSW, LGSW is a Youth Therapist at Domestic Abuse Project. He received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology and his master’s degree in Social Work, both from the University of Minnesota. At Domestic Abuse Project, Ryan provides group and individual therapy to children impacted by domestic violence utilizing trauma-informed, relationally-grounded, systems-engaged therapeutic methods.  Ryan believes in a strengths-based approach that empowers children to direct their own healing processes through the power of play. Ryan has eight years of social service experience in the Twin Cities area providing intensive support to families and children enduring a range of toxic stressors including long-term homelessness, child abuse, extreme poverty, early childhood neglect, and parental mental illness.
